Calista
Shore eging rods on 99.6% carbon with Torzite guides, from the 72L/TF to the 79MMH/AG
Calista is Yamaga Blanks' upper shore eging series, rebuilt from the blank structure up for its 2023 relaunch, which Yamaga calls the "Origin of Calista". The series keeps its original aim of easy, long casting with a light and responsive feel on the egi, and every model uses a 99.6 to 99.8 percent carbon blank on a spigot ferrule with Fuji Torzite titanium-frame K guides. Each model code adds a two-letter role.
Three ML rods give short, medium and long options for 2.5 to 3.5号 egi. The 76ML/TJ (Technical Jerk) is the short model for precise jerking around structure, drop-offs and sight fishing, the 82ML/AR (All Rounder) is the year-round base model, and the 90LML/S (Stream) pairs an L-class tip with an ML-class butt for feeling the egi in current and on the curve fall at long range. The 86M/PF (Power & Finesse) is rated 2.5 to 4号 on a blank redesigned to reduce fatigue, and the 79MMH/AG (Aggressive) combines an M-class tip with an MH-class butt for sharp 3.5号 work and egi of 3 to 4.5号 in deeper water.
The 72L/TF, added in 2025, is the lightest model, a 7'2" rod for working 3号 egi tactically with 3.5号 as the main size. Its butt stays as firm as the rest of the series so it can still handle large spring aori. Rod weights run from 79 to 99 g.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 6 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.

Model notes
All 6 models7'2" L-class finesse rod added in 2025 for working 3号 egi tactically alongside 3.5号, on PE 0.4 to 0.8. The short blank transmits detail, and the firm butt handles large spring aori.
7'6" Technical Jerk model for precise jerking variations around structure, drop-offs and sight fishing, rated 2.5 to 3.5号 on PE 0.4 to 1. The short length also speeds up searching wide water.
7'9" Aggressive model with an M-class tip and MH-class butt for sharp 3.5号 work, rated 3 to 4.5号 on PE 0.6 to 1. Built for technical, aggressive approaches and heavier egi in deeper water.
8'2" All Rounder and the base model of the renewed series, for year-round eging with 2.5 to 3.5号 egi on PE 0.4 to 1. Balances casting, control, sensitivity and power.
8'6" Power & Finesse model rated 2.5 to 4号 on PE 0.4 to 1, rebuilt from the standard 86M format for lighter handling and longer casts. A year-round all-rounder with extra power.
9-foot Stream model pairing an L-class tip with an ML-class butt for long casts and for feeling the egi in current and on the curve fall, rated 2.5 to 3.5号. The longest rod in the series.
