Galahad TRAVEX
2-piece travel spinning jigging rods for PE 3 to PE 5, jigs to 320 g
Galahad TRAVEX is the 2-piece travel version of Yamaga Blanks' Galahad jigging series, renewed in 2019 alongside the 1-piece Galahad. The grip-joint construction cuts transport cost on expeditions, and Yamaga tuned the blanks to be slightly stiffer and sharper than the 1-piece rods of the same power, so the angler's input reaches the jig directly in vertical and high-pitch work. As with the 2019 Galahad renewal, the last digit of each model code is now the PE line ceiling rather than an ounce class.
The 593S is the versatile inshore model for drift (dotera) and vertical jigging on PE 3 with jigs to 180 g, for yellowtail and hiramasa in 30 to 80 m. The 594S, for PE 4 and jigs to 240 g, targets hiramasa and kanpachi inshore and on expeditions, including shallow rough ground and reefs where fish cannot be given line. The 595S, for PE 5 and jigs to 320 g, is aimed at kanpachi, dogtooth tuna and yellowfin around the southern islands and overseas to about 200 m, with a milder tip to reduce fatigue and a butt that bends smoothly through the joint. All three are 5'9" spinning rods.
