Inshore boat casting rods for metal jigs, blades and jighead rigs, cast over or underhand
SeaWalk Cast-Jigging SS (Swim & Skip) is the casting branch of Yamaga Blanks' SeaWalk inshore boat range, added in 2023. Where the SeaWalk Light Jigging and Tairubber rods work straight down under the boat, these two spinning rods cast metal jigs, blade jigs, vibration plugs and jighead rigs to cover the water around it. "Swim" is the straight retrieve and "skip" the lift-and-fall and bottom hops. Yamaga built both models to cast overhead or underhand and to hold a steady line through high-speed retrieves, on anything from a kayak to a charter boat.
The 71ML is the base model, rated for 40 g overhead and 60 g underhand on PE 1.5 max, with a flexible tip and belly that keeps a fast-wound blade jig from wobbling and helps on flatfish taken with jighead rigs over sand. The 73M is stiffer, rated for 60 g overhead and 80 g underhand on PE 2 max, for heavier metal jigs, sinking pencils and jerkbaits, surface-feeding pelagics and rockfish worked on heavy jigheads over reef. Both are 2-piece put-over ferrule rods of a little over 7 feet on Fuji SiC-S K guides, aimed at small pelagics such as bonito, Spanish mackerel and dolphinfish, rockfish, red sea bream, flatfish and seabass.

All 2 models7'1" casting jig rod rated to 40 g overhead and 60 g underhand on PE 1.5 max, with a flexible tip and belly that keeps a fast-wound blade jig stable. Covers shallow water to about 20 m for small pelagics, rockfish and sea bream, and flatfish on jighead rigs over sand.
Stiffer 7'3" model rated to 60 g overhead and 80 g underhand on PE 2 max, for heavier metal jigs, sinking pencils, minnows and jerkbaits over wider and deeper water. Also suits surface-feeding pelagics and rockfish on heavy jigheads over reef.
