Tairaba (tai rubber) bait rods for red sea bream, split by method: AT, D, S and F
SeaWalk Tairubber is Yamaga Blanks' series for tairaba, fishing a tai rubber (a weighted head with a rubber skirt and trailing hooks) for red sea bream. Instead of a power ladder, the four 2023 rods are split by method and conditions, each named with a letter code. All are bait rods for PE 0.4 to 1.2, and Yamaga states the blanks are built to land sea bream over 80 cm.
The 70AT (Automatic) is the all-round base model, a 7-foot rod for 60 to 150 g heads that sets the hook as the angler keeps winding through the nibbles before a full take, with the length absorbing boat roll. The 611D (Deep) handles 100 to 250 g heads in water past 100 m and complex currents, with a longer fore grip for pumping off the waist and for use with electric reels. The 72S (Sensitive) has the softest tip in the series, rated 30 to 100 g on PE 0.4 to 0.8, for shy bites in shallow water on a slow drift. The 60F (Fast) is a 6-foot carbon solid-tip rod rated 60 to 120 g and jigs to 100 g, built to hook quickly and to fish small sea bream jigs as well.
The 70AT and 611D are grip-joint rods with a spiral guide layout; the 72S and 60F are centre-cut put-over ferrule rods. All four use Fuji SiC-S K guides.

Deep tairaba rod for 100 to 250 g heads past 100 m and in complex currents, on PE 0.8 to 1.2. A longer fore grip lets the angler pump off the waist, and it is built to take electric reels.
7-foot Automatic tairaba rod for 60 to 150 g heads on PE 0.6 to 1, built to hook red sea bream on a steady retrieve through the nibbles before the take. The base model of the series, with a length that absorbs boat roll and a slim butt for large fish.
Sensitive 7'2" model with the softest tip of the series, for 30 to 100 g heads on PE 0.4 to 0.8. Built for shy bites in the shallows when the boat barely drifts and the current is weak.
