Bachikon ajing boat rods, 6'6" and 7' in spinning and bait, for sinkers to 95 g
SeaWalk Vertical Contact is a 2026 series for bachikon ajing, a boat method that fishes a sinker rig straight down to reach large aji (horse mackerel) in water shore anglers cannot get to. Yamaga Blanks frames it as a technical game of finding the productive depth and setting the hook aggressively, and built the four rods around sensitivity and hookset response, with grunt (isaki) as a second target.
The lineup is two lengths, each in spinning and bait form. The 66S and 66B are the base 6'6" models rated to 60 g (sinkers of 5 to 15号) on PE 0.3 to 0.6, with a flexible blank. The spinning 66S uses a quick fall and casting reach to search wider water, reading bites on the curve fall and at zero tension; the bait 66B is the core model, sensitive enough for small aji and also suited to lighter rigs in shallow water. The 70S and 70B are 7-foot rods rated to 95 g (10 to 25号) on PE 0.3 to 0.8, with the butt power to work heavy sinkers to about 100 m. The 70S is the technical spinning option for deep water and long strokes, and the 70B suits depth-counter and 200-size electric reels.
All four are 2-piece put-over ferrule rods of 68 to 94 g on Fuji SiC-S K and LDB guides.
