Shore jigging rods with a detachable grip, 9'7" to 10' for jigs to 150 g
Remoto is the shore jigging series in Olympic's Graphiteleader line, built around casting distance, power, control and a light feel in the hand. The main material is a low-resin carbon of low to medium modulus, with Quattro Graphite Cross XX and Olympic's G-MAPS construction in the butt, which Olympic says gives a blank with flex but no wobble, a clean casting feel and staying power against big fish. The rods use a detachable grip for an asymmetric three-piece build, so they pack shorter for anglers moving along rocky shores.
All guides are high-strength stainless-frame models, MN guides with SiC rings plus KW guides with SiC-S rings, with double wrapping on the butt section. The 973MH and 1003M use a Fuji DPS18 seat and the 9103H and 1003MH a DPS20, all with an SD nut and double nut system to stop the reel loosening, and the joint is a put-over ferrule (逆並継). Ratings are printed separately for jigs and plugs: the 1003M takes jigs to 80 g and plugs to 50 g on PE 3, the 973MH and 1003MH jigs to 100 and 120 g on PE 4, and the 9'10" 9103H jigs to 150 g and plugs to 120 g on PE 5. The series is sold through Olympic's authorised dealers.
