Veloce RV
Export bait and spinning rods for China, 6'3" to 7'4", rated in ounces and pound test
Veloce RV is an export series built for the China market only and not sold in Japan. Like Olympic's domestic Veloce bass rods it is rated in ounces and pound-test line, and the page splits it into four groups: one-piece bait casting rods (GLVRC-65ML, 68M and 69MH), two-piece bait casting rods (GLVRC-632LML, 652ML, 682M and 692MH), one-piece spinning rods (GLVRS-66L and 69ML) and two-piece spinning rods (GLVRS-662L, 692ML and 742M). Lengths run from 6'3" to 7'4" and weights from 79 g to 95 g.
The casting models cover 1/16 to 1 oz on 3 to 20 lb line, from the light GLVRC-632LML, which Olympic rates L/M-Light, for 1/16 to 1/2 oz, to the two MH rods for 1/4 to 1 oz on 10 to 20 lb. The spinning models run from the L rods for 1/32 to 3/16 oz on 3 to 6 lb to the 7'4" GLVRS-742M for 1/16 to 1/2 oz on 4 to 12 lb. Actions range from regular to fast.
The bait models use Fuji SiC guides on stainless frames and a Fuji ECS reel seat; the spinning models use stainless-frame Fuji SiC guides and a Fuji VSS seat. The two-piece models have a precision ferrule. The page gives no release date.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 12 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
