26 Corto Prototype
Upper Corto ajing rods on Torayca M40X with T1100G Solid HS+ and titanium solid tips
Corto Prototype is priced between Corto and the Super Corto flagship in Olympic's ajing range, at ¥48,000 to ¥53,000 ex-tax, and the 2026 models are a full redesign. Olympic uses Toray Torayca M40X in key areas (Torayca T1100G on the 6102L-HS+), strengthens the belly and butt with Super Quattro Graphite Cross LV, and fits every carbon solid tip model with the new Torayca T1100G Solid HS+, which it says is lighter and firmer at the tip. A titanium solid tip model joins the lineup for the first time. Joints are spigot ferrules, guides are titanium-frame Torzite with an SiC top, and the reel seats are Olympic's OP-01, or the fuller OP-02 on the 6102L-HS+ and 7102ML-HS+.
The 602L-HS+ is the core jighead model for harbours and breakwaters, and the 642L-HS+ its longer partner for distance and high footholds, slightly faster with more belly power for split-shot rigs. The 582UL-HS+ is a technical close-range rod with a firmer UL tip, the 592UL-TS uses the titanium solid tip to read small tension changes in drift and fall fishing, and the 612L-T is the tubular-tip model for jigheads to plugs. The 6102L-HS+ takes split-shot, carolina and light float rigs, and the 7102ML-HS+ is the longest and strongest model, a distance rod for float rigs now rated to 25 g. The series is part of Olympic's Susami brand and is sold through authorised dealers.
