21 Veloce UX
Bass rods at about half Vigore's price, five bait and four spinning models
21 Veloce UX brings back Olympic's Veloce bass name in the UX line, at about half the price of Vigore (¥23,500 to ¥25,500 in Japan), and Olympic describes it as carrying Vigore's lineage. It covers bank and boat fishing with five bait and four spinning models on a slim high-modulus carbon blank with Graphite Cross LV in the butt section, and every model uses stainless-frame SiC-S K guides.
The bait models run from the 6'5" 21GVELUC-65ML for topwater plugs, shallow cranks and cover finesse rigs (to 3/4 oz on line to 14 lb), through the 6'9" 69MH and 6'10" 610M versatile rods for Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and weightless worms, to the 7' 70H for heavy cover, frogs and slow-rolled heavy spinnerbaits. The 7'4" 74X is a two-piece power rod with a detachable grip for heavy Texas rigs and for big baits and swimbaits to 3 oz on line to 25 lb; Olympic rates its power simply as X.
The spinning side has the 6'4" 64L for light rigs and small plugs, the 6'10" 610ML long versatile spin, the 6'11" 611H-PF power finesse rod for heavy cover on PE to 2, and the two-piece 7'4" 742M for casting light rigs far on PE. Bait models use Fuji ECS reel seats (TCS on the 74X) and spinning models Fuji VSS.
