24 Tiro
Multi-purpose shore rods, bait and spinning, 7'5" to 8'4" for lures of 1 to 46 g
24 Tiro is the full model change of Olympic's multi-purpose shore rod, a series meant to be used for many species rather than one. The new generation is lighter without giving up power, the spinning models gain Olympic's own OP-02 carbon reel seat for sensitivity, and the range now adds longer lengths, MH power and bait models, all in the 7'5" to 8'4" band that Olympic considers easiest to use from shore. The blank blends carbon of several moduli, with Quattro Graphite Cross XX in the butt to limit blank wobble.
Guides are mixed by section: a titanium-frame SiC top, titanium-frame Torzite guides through the tip and stainless SiC-S guides from belly to butt. All models use a put-over ferrule (逆並継) and a split EVA grip; the bait models take a Fuji ECS seat. The bait 752M is a versatile rod for ponds, rivers, harbours and rocks, from bottom rigs to hard lures and swimbaits, and the 762MH adds power for heavy lures and big fish. The spinning range runs from the 762L for small plugs and light jigheads through the core 772M, the long-casting 792ML (3 to 21 g) and the 802M and 842M for larger fish, to the 762MH and 802MH for heavy lures. Each rod carries a lb rating for nylon or fluoro alongside a PE range, from 3 to 25 lb and PE 0.3 to 2.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 9 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
