Standard Calamaretti shore eging rods, 7'5" to 8'8", for 2 to 4.5号 egi
Calamaretti is Olympic's standard shore eging series, which the company describes as a high-quality standard built around cost performance and Made in Japan production. The blanks are high modulus throughout, with Super Quattro Graphite Cross XX and the patented G-MAPS process added in the butt section to cut blank wobble while keeping weight down. The butt is set up strong for sharp darting, and the lineup covers egi from 2 to 4.5号.
The 7'5" 24GCALS-752ML (2024) is the short run-and-gun model for harbours and rocky shorelines, with Olympic's OP-02 carbon reel seat in an uplock position. The 7'10" 20GCALS-7102M is the most powerful rod in the series, rated for 2.5 to 4.5号 egi on PE 0.6 to 1 and suggested for large aori, deep water, sight fishing and boat eging. The 8'5" 20GCALS-852M is the all-season all-rounder, and the 8'8" 20GCALS-882ML pairs a fine tip with M-class butt power for tetrapods, offshore rocks and high piers.
The 8'6" 23GCALS-862ML-HS, added in 2023, carries a hard solid tip and fluorescent orange thread on the tip guides for night eging. All models use titanium-frame guides with Torzite rings in the tip section, spigot ferrules and split EVA grips, with VSS reel seats on every model except the 752ML.
