21 Protone UX MJ
Entry-level micro jigging spinning rods for jigs to 40 and 50 g on PE 0.8
Protone UX MJ is the entry-level micro jigging line in Olympic's UX range, released in 2021 with two spinning models. The blanks are slim but thick-walled, built from many plies of low- and mid-modulus carbon, with Graphite Cross LV in the butt section to keep weight down while tuning torsional and crush stiffness.
The 6'5" 652-0 is the softest model, close to a full-solid feel, and Olympic states fish stay calm on it however far it bends; it is rated for jigs to 40 g. The 6'3" 632-1 is rated to 50 g and suits 20 to 30 g micro jigs in water around 50 m. Both are 2-piece with a detachable grip, take PE 0.8 at most, and use stainless-frame K guides, a Fuji VSS seat (changing to an unpainted finish) and a long separated grip that tucks under the arm without getting in the way of the jig.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 2 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
