Calamaretti UX Metal Sutte brings Olympic's entry UX line to metal sutte fishing, the ikametal-style boat method for squid with a weighted sutte jig worked under the boat. Olympic rebuilt the Nuovo Calamaretti design under its UX construction, using thick wraps of thin low-modulus carbon prepreg in place of high-modulus carbon for a muscular blank that still bends smoothly, with Graphite Cross LV in the butt to tune torsion and crush stiffness.
All three are bait rods with solid tips, extra-fast actions and PE 0.4 to 1.2 ratings. The 5'8" 23GCALUC-582MH-S-MS (2023) is the short, easy-handling model for sinkers to 35号 (about 131 g), with a soft tip and a firm butt. The 2026 6'5" 26GCALUC-652ML-S-MS is a technical model for lighter sutte to 25号 (about 94 g), aimed at Pacific-side waters, its extra length resisting swell to keep the sutte steady. The 6'6" 26GCALUC-662M-S-MS takes sutte to 30号 (about 113 g) and is the most versatile of the three.
Tip sections carry Olympic's self-clearing stainless-frame SiC guides to cut line wraps, with stainless SiC-S guides on the belly and butt, spigot ferrules, ECS reel seats and split EVA grips.
