Calamaretti UX Omorig is the entry Olympic line for omorig, the boat squid method of casting a sinker rig with a small egi on a leader. Olympic describes omorig as reaching water that a metal sutte cannot, coping with fast current, and targeting larger squid that are wary of the fishing lights, and it positions the series for newcomers, as a second rod for experienced anglers, and as a companion to a metal sutte setup.
The lineup was renewed with two solid-tip models for 2026. The 6'3" 26GCALUS-632ML-S is the light model, rated for sinkers to 30号 (about 113 g) on PE 1 max, which Olympic says fishes close to ikametal when lighter weights work. The 6'7" 26GCALUS-672M-S has a short solid tip firm enough to cast the rig, rated to 35号 (about 131 g) on PE 1.2. The 7' 23GCALUS-702MMH-T (2023) keeps a tubular top with MH-class butt power for heavy sinkers to 40号 (150 g).
Blanks use high-modulus carbon with Graphite Cross LV in the butt. Tip sections take self-clearing stainless-frame SiC guides, with SiC-S guides below; the two solid-tip models use Olympic's OP-02 carbon reel seat in a downlock position and the 702MMH-T a VSS seat.
