23 Silverado
Mid-range chining rods on Torayca T1100G, bait and spinning, 7'4" to 7'9"
23 Silverado is the full renewal of Olympic's chining series for lure fishing for black sea bream. Olympic redrew the actions and tapers for current chining, raising operability and blank recovery over the previous 17 Silverado while improving sensitivity and the clean release of the bend. The blank mixes Toray Torayca T1100G through its length with Quattro Graphite Cross XX and Olympic's patented G-MAPS construction. All five models use titanium-frame Torzite guides with a titanium SiC top, a spigot ferrule and a split EVA grip with no fore grip; the bait models take a Fuji ECS seat and the spinning models a down-locking VSS seat.
The bait 762ML is the standard bait chining rod, with a tip built to avoid snagging and a belly that can set the hook at distance. The 792M-HS reworks the hard solid tip action of the 20 Silverado Prototype 762ML-HS into a more aggressive rod for experienced anglers. Among the spinning models, the 742LML-HS carries a hard solid tip for lighter patterns and slow bottom dragging, the 762ML is the standard rod for bottom rigs and plugs, and the 792M is the power spinning model for heavier rigs cast further. Ratings run from 2 to 20 g on PE 0.4 to 1, and the series is sold through Olympic's authorised dealers.
