24 Pagro UX
Entry-level tairaba bait rods with solid tips, for heads to 100 and 150 g
Pagro UX is Olympic's entry-level tairaba (tai rubber for red sea bream) series, released in 2024. Every model has a solid tip for the steady retrieve tairaba depends on, and the guides are stainless-frame SiC-S rings set in a spiral wrap to cut line trouble, a setup Olympic compares to its higher-priced rods. The blanks combine materials of several moduli for low weight and sensitivity, with Graphite Cross LV in the butt to keep torsional and crush stiffness in check. All three are 2-piece bait rods with a detachable grip, a Fuji ECS seat and a slim, long separated grip that holds easily under the arm.
The 6'3" 632ML is rated to 100 g for shallower water with slack current; it is short for easy handling, with a fine tip and power from the belly to the butt to bring fish up. The 6'7" 672M is rated to 150 g for a wider range of water at an orthodox tairaba length, with a soft action that lets the fish take the head. The 6'6" 662L, sold as a 2027 model and already on sale, is the lightest, from small heads to 100 g, for shallow water and slow fish, with a flexible blank that absorbs boat motion for a steadier retrieve.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 3 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
