25 Argento Prototype Boat Seabass
Boat seabass rods in the Argento Prototype family: a big-bait casting rod and a 7' spinning rod
This is the boat seabass branch of Olympic's Argento Prototype series, introduced in 2025. The blank uses high-modulus carbon with Toray Torayca T1100G and M40X, Quattro Graphite Cross XX and Olympic's patented G-MAPS construction, aimed at the light weight, control, flex and power that boat seabass fishing asks for. Both models use titanium-frame guides with Torzite rings on all but the SiC top guide, a spigot ferrule and a split EVA grip.
The bait GARGPC-682MH is a 6'8" big-bait model that bends evenly for casting and gives control of heavy lures, rated to 120 g on PE 4, with a Fuji ECS seat. The spinning GARGPS-702ML/M is a 7' rod for everything from casting at structure to long casts in open water, handling straight retrieves and jerking, rated to 40 g on PE 1.5, with Olympic's OP-02 carbon reel seat in a down-locking layout. Olympic has also shown the 702ML/M fishing for magochi (flathead) from a boat in Ise Bay. Both models are listed on the 19 Argento Prototype page as well and are sold through Olympic's authorised dealers.
