Calamaretti Metal Sutte is the full renewal of Olympic's Calamaretti rods for metal sutte fishing, the ikametal-style boat method of working a weighted sutte jig under the boat for squid. Olympic changed the reel seat to a PMTS micro-trigger for more ways to hold the rod, redesigned the blank so bites can be felt in the hand as well as seen on the tip, and strengthened the butt for heavier weights. The blank combines carbon of several moduli with Graphite Cross LV in the butt.
The 5'8" 25GCALC-582MH-TS takes sutte to 40号 (150 g) with the strongest butt of the three and Olympic's patented titanium solid tip, a nickel-titanium tip joined to the carbon tubular blank, for anglers who work the sutte to draw bites. The 6'6" 25GCALC-662L/ML-S has a fine tip section for lighter sutte to 25号 (about 94 g) and absorbs movement on the stay. The 6'6" 25GCALC-662M-S, rated to 35号 (about 131 g), is the all-round model for the widest range of waters.
All three are extra-fast bait rods on PE 0.4 to 1.2, with stainless-frame SiC-S guides in a spiral layout, spigot ferrules and split EVA grips.
