25 Finezza
Mebaru rods with a bait-taking action, OP-02 seats and solid or tubular tips
Finezza is Olympic's core mebaru (mebaring) series, given an action deliberately different from its ajing rods. The tip and belly are mainly low- and mid-modulus carbon with high-modulus carbon in the butt, a layout Olympic says gives a supple but sharp feel at low weight, and the action lets the fish take the bait while staying firm enough for other rigs. Graphite Cross LV in the butt tunes twist and crush stiffness. The 2025 models move every rod to Olympic's new OP-02 carbon reel seat in an up-lock layout, with titanium-frame SiC-S guides, put-over ferrules and split EVA grips.
The 752L-S is the jighead model, with a 0.7 mm solid tip that hooks mebaru almost automatically on light rigs inside harbours and around night lights. The 752L-T is the most versatile, a tubular-tip rod for jigheads, plugs and carolina rigs. The 7112ML-T is the longest and most powerful, a distance rod for carolina and float rigs over breaks and submerged rocks from small rocky shores and cobble beaches, rated 1 to 12 g. All three are 2-piece spinning rods weighing 68 to 79 g, priced at ¥33,500 to ¥34,500 ex-tax.
