Autoclave-cured special edition of the Super Corto 612L-HS+ with an M46X second section
Super Corto AT is a single-model special edition of the Super Corto flagship, based on the GCORSS-612L-HS+. Olympic adds Toray Torayca M46X as the main sheet of the second section and cures the blank in an autoclave, a process the maker says allows a lower-resin design with better finish and dimensional stability than its standard curing. The full length is wrapped in high-modulus, low-resin four-axis cloth (Super Quattro Graphite Cross LV), with G-MAPS in the butt section and Torayca M40X and T1100G in places.
The rod is a 6'1" two-piece with the Torayca T1100G Solid HS+ tip, rated to 5 g on line to 3 lb and weighing 49 g. Fittings match the Super Corto: spigot ferrule, titanium-frame Torzite guides with an SiC-S top in T2 colour, and the OP-01 reel seat in a down-lock layout. It is sold through Olympic's authorised dealers at ¥170,000 ex-tax, the highest price in the Corto family.
