25 Super Silverado
Flagship chining rods on Torayca M40X and M46X, one bait and one spinning 7'6" ML
Super Silverado is the flagship of Olympic's Silverado chining range. The blank combines Toray Torayca M40X and M46X with Super Quattro Graphite Cross LV and Olympic's patented G-MAPS construction for a light, strong blank. New reel seats are part of the design: the bait model uses a slim Fuji FBCS seat and the spinning model Olympic's own OP-02 carbon reel seat in a down-locking layout, which Olympic says improves the transmission of vibration from the blank to the hand.
Both models are 7'6" ML two-piece rods with titanium-frame Torzite guides, a spigot ferrule, a split high-grade cork grip with no fore grip and an end cap that carries a balancing plate. The bait GSILSC-762ML is built for bottom work, with a tip that resists snagging and a blank that stays firm but bends with torque, rated 3 to 18 g on PE 0.6 to 1. The spinning GSILSS-762ML pairs a firm tip with a strong belly and butt to set the hook and bring fish in, covering bottom rigs and plugs at 3 to 15 g on PE 0.4 to 0.8. Both are sold through Olympic's authorised dealers and sit under its Susami brand.
