25 Tiro Prototype
Higher-grade multi-purpose spinning rods built around a fast action, 7'6" to 8'4"
Tiro Prototype is the higher-grade line of Olympic's multi-purpose Tiro family. Olympic designed it without a target species in mind, refining the blank around a crisp fast action so that any lure within the rating casts cleanly, works with control and transmits detail. The blank uses Olympic's patented G-MAPS construction with four-axis woven carbon to resist crushing and twisting, which Olympic credits with the lifting power to bring an unexpected big fish in.
The four spinning models use titanium-frame guides with Torzite rings on all but the SiC top guide, a spigot ferrule, Olympic's OP-02 carbon reel seat in an up-locking layout, a split EVA grip and an end cap with a balancing plate. The 762L is the 7'6" light game model. The 772M combines G-MAPS with high-modulus carbon for a firmer, more powerful feel. The 792ML is the central item of the Tiro line, which Olympic lists for chining, eging, seabass, black bass and native trout. The 842ML is a versatile light shore casting rod for sensitive fishing at range. Ratings run from 1 to 28 g with 3 to 16 lb line or PE 0.3 to 1.2. The series sits under Olympic's Susami brand and is sold through its authorised dealers.
