Calamaretti Prototype Metal Sutte is Olympic's high-end series for metal sutte squid fishing, fully renewed for 2026. The blanks combine Toray Torayca T1100G, Super Quattro Graphite Cross LV and the patented G-MAPS process, and Olympic's own guide setting, titanium-frame SiC-S guides with Torzite rings in the tip section in a spiral layout, is designed to prevent line trouble. An FBCS reel seat in carbon-reinforced resin improves transmitted sensitivity. The series is sold through Olympic's authorised dealers.
Two tip types are offered. The titanium solid models use Olympic's patented nickel-titanium tip joined to the carbon tubular blank for load sensitivity: the 5'5" 26GCALPC-552ML-TS for lighter sutte to 25号 (about 94 g) in Pacific-side waters, with a detachable grip, and the 5'8" 26GCALPC-582MH-TS for heavier sutte to 40号 (150 g) in the Sea of Japan, with the power to handle two large kensaki squid at once in strong current.
The glass solid models are for reading bites by eye: the 6' 26GCALPC-602MH/H-GS, rated to 50号 (about 188 g), and the 6'3" 26GCALPC-632ML/M-GS with a very soft glass tip, rated to 30号 (about 113 g). Olympic lists the two GS models for release from autumn 2026, while the TS models are on sale. All four are extra-fast bait rods on PE 0.4 to 1.2.
