Entry Calamaretti UX shore eging rods, 7'9" to 8'6", with the OP-02 seat
Calamaretti UX is the entry line of Olympic's shore eging rods, given a full model change for 2026. It carries over the concept of earlier Calamaretti models with a lighter blank and Olympic's OP-02 carbon reel seat in a downlock position for control and sensitivity, and Olympic's UX construction keeps the price low. The blank uses high-modulus carbon with Graphite Cross LV in the butt, with stainless-frame SiC guides, slip-over ferrules and split EVA grips.
The 7'9" 26GCALUS-792ML/M is the short, quick-working rod for searching at tempo, aimed at autumn squid with butt power for larger spring fish. The 8'3" 26GCALUS-832ML is the most versatile and is recommended for anglers new to eging. The 8'6" 26GCALUS-862M is the most powerful, for long sweeping jerks, larger egi and deep water in the spring season. Ratings are 2 to 3.5号 egi on the two shorter rods and 2.5 to 4号 on the 862M, all on PE 0.4 to 1, at ¥25,000 to ¥26,000 ex-tax.
