27 Compatto UX
2027-model 4-piece travel rods in the UX line, 6' to 7'6", on sale from late 2026
27 Compatto UX is the 2027-model Compatto in Olympic's UX line, listed for advance release from autumn to winter 2026. It keeps the travel concept with plain styling and a design meant to cross over between light game, trout, bass and seabass, in three 4-piece spinning rods with spigot ferrules, stainless-frame SiC-S guides and Graphite Cross LV in the butt. Each uses one of Olympic's carbon reel seats: OP-01 down-locking on the 604UL-HS, OP-02 down-locking on the 654L-HS and OP-02 up-locking on the 764ML-T. Prices run from ¥33,000 to ¥35,000.
The 6' GCOMUS-604UL-HS has a hard solid tip and a front-gripless grip, for streams, managed trout ponds, small rivers and harbors (to 3 g on line to 2 lb). The 6'5" GCOMUS-654L-HS, also with a hard solid tip, adds casting distance with small lures to 5 g. The 7'6" GCOMUS-764ML-T is the longest and broadest model, for minnows, vibrations and soft plastics to 15 g on seabass, rockfish and bass, and closes to 61 cm, longer than the earlier Compatto rods.
