Axis

Phenix Axis is a saltwater rod family made for West Coast and offshore anglers chasing tuna, yellowtail, calico, grouper, and amberjack. The lineup spans inshore casting work up to standing tuna and heavy jig sticks, with the same Helix Axis blank platform scaled across power classes. Blanks combine S-glass, T-16 carbon fiber, and graphite in a multi-helix layup, producing a thin-diameter blank with backbone tuned for lifting power.

Guides are double-foot saltwater spec, reel seats are aluminum hooded or Fuji graphite depending on class, and grips are full-length EVA. Phenix backs the series with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Models carry the HAX prefix followed by C (casting) or S (spinning), length, and a power code. Standard powers run ML through H; X2H, X3H, and X4H mark the heavy progression for big tuna, popping, and stand-up work, with X4H rated to roughly 200 lb line.

A J suffix designates a jigging blank (faster tip, lifting butt for vertical work), and RS denotes an alternate reel-seat configuration on the 9-foot Heavy. The Larry Special tag on the C800X2H is a signature build.
