Recon Elite

The Phenix Recon Elite is a premium bass-focused rod series built on Toray T-36 ton carbon fiber with Phenix's proprietary Nanite Resin system. It is positioned above Phenix's entry Maxim series and serves serious tournament or avid recreational bass anglers who want near-custom-quality blanks at a production price point. The series is optimized for bass fishing technique execution -- not crossover species use. The blank construction centers on T-36 ton Toray carbon with Nanite Resin, producing a blank described as comparable to high-end Japanese production rods in sensitivity.

Components include Essex T-ring carbide guides, high-density EVA split grips, and carbon reel seats. The *DS (drop shot) suffix models are tuned specifically for finesse techniques. Spinning models run lighter powers (L and M) while casting models extend to H power for heavier presentations. Seventeen models split 12 casting / 5 spinning. Casting models run 6'8" to 8', covering L through H power. Spinning models run 6'9" to 7'6", confined to L and M power for finesse applications.

Actions are uniformly F (fast) across the series. A numbering convention using 3-digit codes encodes length and power: e. g. PHX-C 766H = 7'6", 6th guide, H power. Two *DS suffix casting models (682L, 712L) are specifically configured for drop shot and finesse baitcasting.
