RTS Inshore

The Phenix RTS (Reds, Trout, Snook) Inshore series is a Gulf Coast-designed inshore saltwater lineup based on Toray T-40 ton carbon fiber blanks with Phenix Nanolite resin. The series was developed with input from Gulf guides, made for anglers fishing shallow flats, grass beds, and tidal creeks for the three primary southern inshore species indicated in the name. It is available through specialty inshore tackle dealers and is marketed as one of the lighter, more sensitive rods in its price range.

Blanks are T-40 carbon with Nanolite resin for reduced blank weight. Guides are Kigan SMART 3D Z-guides with a zero-tangle design, appropriate for PEX or fluorocarbon leaders. Grips are high-density EVA and cork blend; reel seat is carbon. All 12 models carry moderate-fast action throughout. Casting models use different hardware from the spinning models; the line ratings span ML through H. Five casting models span 6'9" to 7'7" in ML, MH, and H power classes.

Seven spinning models cover the same power range with an identical length spread. Shorter 6'9" models in ML are suited to finesse redfish presentations with lighter jigs; the H-power 6'9" and 7'1" models address heavier snook or bull redfish work. The 7'7" MH models in both spinning and casting are the longest options, suited to sight-casting situations that require distance.
